Event Videos

Here we’ll share photos and videos of the Human Connections events as they happen. We begin with some photos from the 25th Annual Hillsborough River & Coastal Cleanup, held Oct. 20. It was oganized by our partners, Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful, and sponsored by Wells Fargo. The event kicked off at Lowry Park, and included booths, music, music, food, and the Rollin’ on the River Rally, in which teams from all over the area created rafts and tried to sail down the river. Our HI team – Liz Bird, Liz Kicak, and project G.A. Karen Castagna, staffed our booth and shared our program events.

It was another beautiful Fall day when a group of about 30 people assembled at USF’s Riverfront Park. River guide Hadrian Alegarbes engaged his audience with a lively and informative talk about the history and natural environment of the Hillsborough, before leading everyone on a paddle up the river. Families and friends, both experienced and new to canoes, enjoyed the two-hour trip, followed by snacks and conversation in the park. A great Sunday morning outing for all!
